Yellow Sweet Kokum Fruit/Garcinia Indica is a rare tropical summer fruit found along the Western Ghats in India. The round fruit has a sharp sweet tangy taste and is yellow in colour when fully ripe. Dried kokum peels are exceptionally sour and metallic with a sort of sweet aroma. Kokum is rich in nutrients and also packed with many essential vitamins such as vitamin A, vitamin B3, and vitamin C, as well as minerals such as calcium, iron, manganese, potassium, and zinc. It also contains a good amount of folic acid, ascorbic acid, acetic acid, hydroxy citric acid, and fibre.
