Sideroxylon foetidissimum, commonly known as false mastic or yellow mastic, is a species of flowering plant in the family Sapotaceae. It is native to Florida in the United States, the Caribbean, and northern Central America. It is cultivated in Mexico as a fruit tree and often exploited for its wood. The flowers have a strong cheese like aroma and bearing small, orange colored fruits with an edible, gummy flesh.
