General Information:
Small to medium-sized evergreen tree, growing from 2 - 13 m. Single- or multi-stemmed stem structure.
Found throughout southern Africa. Similar in general appearance to the Kei Apple.
Orange-yellow fruits can be eaten raw. Fruits have a fairly sweet, tasty, sour flavor.
Nutritional Information:
Apricots (Prunus armeniaca L.) are a great source of antioxidants, including beta-carotene, and vitamins A, C, and E.
High in polyphenol antioxidants called flavonoids, which have protective effects against various illnesses, including diabetes and heart disease.
