Guavas/  Psidium Guajava  is a small tree in the myrtle family, native to Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, and northern South America. Guava has a unique flavor, which has been described as similar to papaya, or a cross between a pear and a strawberry. It has a sweet, musky aroma, with soft, juicy flesh.

Spring guava is a kind of guava plant with curly, spring like leaves. It has a medium sized white fleshe fruit with a nice sweet taste.The spring like leaves also makes it highly ornamental.

Fresh guavas are rich in vitamins A, B, and C, and are commonly eaten raw and may be sliced and served with sugar and cream as a dessert.

Planting and Care

Trees should be planted in full sun with sufficient drainage. When the guava tree is young, fertilize it every one to two months and then every three to four years as it matures.
