Sea Buckthorn is a plant found throughout Europe and Asia. The leaves, flowers, seeds, and fruits are used as medicine. Sea buckthorn contains vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, and C, as well as other active ingredients. It's been used traditionally to slow down the aging process. It is rich in many nutrients and may improve the health of your skin, immune system, liver, and heart. It may also help protect against diabetes and even certain types of cancer. The edible fruit can be eaten raw. They are aromatic, but acidic, or sour-tasting, some say like lemons. The fruit is made into jelly, marmalade, syrups and sauces, or added to ice creams, sorbets, compotes and fruit quark.
