General Information: Peritassa Laevigata is a fruit-bearing shrub characterized by vigorous branches. Native to South America, including Paraguay, Brazil, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname, as well as parts of Central America (Costa Rica) and the Caribbean (Tobago). This shrub is valued for its edible fruits, which are harvested from the wild.
Fruit: The tree produces delicious fruits with a firm yellow-orange skin. The subglobose fruit measures up to 35mm in diameter and contains 2 - 4 seeds, each about 20mm long and 13mm wide.
