The Pusa Surya Mango is a prominent hybrid mango variety , originally introduced from Brazil, this variety is valued for its regular bearing habit, high yield potential, attractive fruits, and excellent eating quality.
Fruit Appearance: Produces medium to large mangoes weighing approximately 230-290 grams. The fruits have an attractive apricot-yellow skin that may develop a reddish blush on areas exposed to direct sunlight.
Pulp and Taste: Features deep golden orange, firm, completely fiberless flesh with a rich, sweet flavour balanced by mild, pleasant acidity. Its smooth texture makes it excellent for fresh consumption.
Sugar Content: The fruits have a high Total Soluble Solids (TSS) content of approximately 18-20° Brix, contributing to their naturally sweet and delicious taste.
Nutritional Value: The pulp contains vitamin C and bet carotene, which the body uses to produce vitamin A. These nutrients contribute to a balanced and healthy diet.
Shelf Life: Known for its good post-harvest keeping quality, ripe fruits can generally last around 8-12 days at room temperature under suitable storage conditions.
