Pouteria aff. multiflora is a deciduous tree with a fairly open globose crown. This species is discovered in the Colombian forests at around 1000 meters elevation. It is a fast-growing tree that is tolerant of full sun and supplies a food appreciated by humans and many other species, this tree could be very useful in a mixed planting for restoring native woodland and also for establishing woodland gardens. This exceptional Pouteria multiflora selection is a standout for both its fruit quality and valued hardwood. The tree reaches up to 10 meters in height and is known for its durable timber. When ripe, the fruit turns a vivid orange, matching the soft, flavorful pulp inside, which boasts an excellent seed-to-flesh ratio. Among several wild specimens, this particular tree was selected for its superior taste and texture, making it ideal for fresh consumption. It is now being shared among top Pouteria growers in Colombia for conservation and cultivation.
