General Information:

Species of tree in the Annonaceae family.

Found in Central America, particularly in South Mexico, Guatemala, and Honduras.

Known for its delicious and aromatic fruit, which is best eaten raw fresh from the tree.

Cream-colored flesh with a creamy banana pineapple flavor and a soft texture.

Edible Uses:

Fruit: Eaten raw, has a delicious and aromatic flavor. Described as having a richer flavor than soursop (A. muricata) with a suggestion of the flavor of white sapote (Casimiroa edulis). The fruit has a creamy banana-pineapple-like flavor, considered one of the most flavorful and refreshing fruits in the genus.

Seeds: Usually breed true to type. Can be sown in individual pots, not deeper than 2cm, at 21°C.
