Type: Medium-sized evergreen or semi-deciduous tree

Native to the Amazon Basin (Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Paraguay, Bolivia)

Can grow up to 14 m in height and up to 40 cm in bole diameter

Leaves: Alternate and pinnately compound

Flowers: Small, white flowers produced in panicles

Fruits: Brown to yellow, rounded to ellipsoidal, Clusters of 10 to 20, Contains one or two large seeds each. Edible pulp, brown-yellow-skinned

Juicy, translucent, sweet, and sour flavor when eaten fresh

Culinary Uses: Edible pulp can be consumed raw
