Clausena excavata is a species of evergreen shrub that grows 1–2 metres tall, in the family Rutaceae, native to Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, the Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam. It is a very rare and unique coldy hardy tropical fruit tree. Pink Wampee trees produce giant clusters of flowers and small pink berries. The translucent lipstick pink fruit has a soft texture and unique flavor that is sweet and citrusy with notes of fennel, coriander, licorice, and coffee.
