Annona bahiensis is a very rare, small tree to about 10 m tall with thick,leathery leaves, fragrant flowers and small, yellowish, edible fruits, native to low elevation, seasonally dry forests in northeastern Brazil. It has a very good flavour and sweet tasting pulp. pulp is more firm than regular Rollinia pulp and has no fibre which makes it great to eat. fruits of this specie have a very long shelf life going from 7 to 10 days.
