Artocarpus sarawakensis is an evergreen tree growing up to 25 metres, native to Southeast Asia -Malaysia. The tree is harvested from the wild for its edible fruit, which is eaten locally.The fruit is usually eaten raw it has an An excellent flavour, the flesh is sweet, juicy, free of fibre and melts in the mouth.

Planting and Care
This fruit will grow in at places having hot and humid climate. It has high nutritional value with carbohydrate and protein.

Ash from the leaves is applied on scorpion stings and centipede bites.
Uses/Benefits
The fruits are eaten by local people. They have quite good flavour. The flesh is commonly mixed with flour and egg batter and fried as tarap fritters, used to flavour ice-cream, and can be fermented to organic vinegar.
