Common Names: This fruit is known by several common names, including Zapote Amarillo, Baboon Cap, and Monkey Cap.

Botanical Name: Couepia Polyandry.

Origin: This fruit is native to Mexico and Central America.

Fruit Characteristics: The Giant Olosapo fruit is larger than the typical Olosapo and is yellow to yellow-orange when mature. The flesh of this fruit is fibrous, semi-dry, and egg yolk-shaped.

The fruit has a unique and gentle flavor, reminiscent of a mixture of sweet potato, custard, eggnog, and burnt sugar. It is aromatic and sweet once ripe.

Nutritional Benefits: Olosapo is an excellent source of fiber, which is beneficial for promoting a healthy digestive tract and detoxifying the body. The fruit also contains antioxidants that can help boost the immune system, enhance collagen production for healthy skin, and reduce inflammation.

Varieties: There are two varieties of Olosapo, including Giant Olosapo and the normal variety.
