Maranhão Ultra Orange Custard Apple Live Plant (Annona aff. coriaceae)

Maranhão Ultra Orange Custard Apple is a very rare annona found in the interior of the state of Maranhão. Small and medium-sized tree that grows in a transitional environment of the cerrado, caatinga and Amazon biomes. It is very likely that it is a new species that is somewhat similar to Annona coriaceae, but with characteristics distinct from that species.The tree produces fruits with a sweet flavor and is highly appreciated by local populations. This fruit has intense orange pulp and a striking flavor.
