Variable tree with a dense crown, Size can range from 3 - 30 meters tall. Scattered in tropical rainforests such as Borneo, Kalimantan, and Sumatra, Fruit tastes sweet and sour when ripe.
Lempaung trees usually produce very dense fruit, from the bottom of the tree trunk to the top filled with fruit. The plant is gathered from the wild and used locally for its edible fruit and medicinal purposes.
Fruit: Thick-skinned, white fruits growing to 1"+, Pulp is translucent white with a tasty, sour flavor. Fairly uncommon in the wild and unknown in cultivation.

Studies have suggested antioxidant, antibacterial, and sun-protective properties. Leaves, fruits, and bark may have medicinal uses.
