Lacunaria jemannii Live Plant (Lacunaria jemannii)

Lacunaria jenmanii is an extremely rare evergreen tree with an elongated crown growing 4 - 18 metres tall. The tree is native to S. America - Brazil, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, the Guyanas.

The edible fruit is often gathered from the wild for local use. With its delicious fruit, the plant has great potential for home gardens and commercial production. The subglobose fruit is about 7cm in diameter with thick-skin that has a succulent, sweet pulp with a very delicious flavour.
