Guavas/  Psidium Guajava is a small tree in the myrtle family, native to Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, and northern South America. Guava has a unique flavor, which has been described as similar to papaya, or a cross between a pear and a strawberry. It has a sweet, musky aroma, with soft, juicy flesh.

L 49 guava has a round-shaped fruit with a size of 250gm to 500gm. It has a sweet white flesh with more than one season. This variety is also good for commercial purposes

Fresh guavas are rich in vitamins A, B, and C, and are commonly eaten raw and may be sliced and served with sugar and cream as a dessert.

Planting and Care

Trees should be planted in full sun with sufficient drainage. When the guava tree is young, fertilize it every one to two months and then every three to four years as it matures. To produce the most fruit, guava trees require a lot of nitrogen, phosphoric acid, potash, and a small amount of magnesium.
