Kottukonam/ Mangifera Indica is a beautiful, aromatic, and sweet mango variety from Kerala native to the districts of Kollam and Thiruvananthapuram. It received the name as a legacy after the name of the place, Kotturkonam, bordering Tamilnadu where it originated. Fruit is reddish-orange on the inside and outside when ripe, and high in fiber, but once eaten, the taste, aroma, and flavor remain on the tongue.

Ripe fruit is processed into canned and frozen slices, pulp, concentrate, juices, nectar, jam, purée, cereal flakes, toffee, and various dried products.
