General Information:
Native to northern Australia. Fast-growing medium to large evergreen tree.
Simple leaves and clusters of edible fruit. Fruits turn black when ripe and are sweet with pleasant acidity. One of the best Antidesma species in terms of fruit quality.
Bears hundreds of small reddish fruits. Similar to bignay but typically with more flesh. Fruits can be eaten fresh or used for making juices and jams.
Prefers ample moisture, good light, and a tropical or frost-free warm temperate climate.

Rich in antioxidants and has been traditionally used for various ailments, including digestive issues, skin problems, and inflammation.
