General Information:
Evergreen tree, subglobose crown, native to the Americas. Grows 6-15 meters tall with a 20-40 cm diameter. Edible fruits gathered in the wild, also cultivated in Mexico and Puerto Rico. Pale yellow, 10-15 mm spherical fruit with sweet, spicy flavor. Can be eaten raw or cooked. Used in jellies and beverages. Prefers warm, tropical climate, thrives in full sun and dappled shade.
