General Information: A semideciduous tree native to South America, specifically eastern and northeastern Brazil. It grows 4 - 12 meters tall with a dense, globose crown. Harvested from the wild for local food and wood, it produces yellowish, 5cm diameter globose fruits with very sweet and tasty white pulp containing 1-4 seeds. Requires soil with excellent drainage, full sun, and tropical to subtropical climates.
