General Information: Campomanesia malifolia is a rare, fast-growing medium-sized tree, typically reaching heights of 3 to 5 meters in its natural habitat. Native to the dense ombrophilous forests of the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil, this species was discovered by Fábio Longen in 2016. It takes approximately 3 to 4 years for the tree to set fruit from a seed-grown plant.
Fruits: The tree produces fruits that are gathered from the wild. These fruits, measuring 3 to 4 cm in diameter, have a sweet, soft, juicy, and aromatic flavor. They are commonly consumed raw and sometimes used for making jams and jellies.
