Gigante de Maranhao is one of the best tasting annona variety found in the interior of the state of Maranhão. A very special annona with a medium-sized growth format.  The tree produces fruits with a spectacular sweet flavor and is highly appreciated by local populations. The fruits are large in size, weighing up to 2 kg, suitable for the production of pulp, juices, sweets, etc. This variety is one of the rare examples of biodiversity in this state of Maranhão.
