This attractive fruit tree is a rare and highly desirable selection originating from Santa Catarina, Brazil. Growing 4- 7 meters (13–23 feet) tall, it combines ornamental beauty, cold tolerance, and excellent fruit quality, making it a valuable addition to rare fruit collections. The tree produces striking orange-colored fruits with vibrant orange flesh, creating a beautiful display when in season. The fruits are known for their sweet and pleasant flavor, often compared to Neomyrtifolia, and are notable for lacking the astringency sometimes found in related species. This smooth, enjoyable taste makes them ideal for fresh consumption.
The long, slender leaves closely resemble those of a Jaboticaba, giving the plant a refined and ornamental appearance even when not in fruit. Its attractive growth habit makes it suitable for both edible landscapes and specimen plantings.
