Eugenia itapemirimensis is a rare, slow growing plant native to SAtlantic forest, northern littoral of Bahia, Brazil. The edible fruit is gathered from the wild for local use, and the plant is also sometimes cultivated in home gardens. Fruits are eaten raw or made into jellies. It has a thin fleshy pulp with a slightly sweet flavour.
