Asimina parviflora is a much lesser known Pawpaw species. It grows in East Texas and southwest into Central Texas in dry pine and oak woods. this species bears greenish fruits, with soft, sweetly edible pulp. The fruits are a bit smaller than the regular Pawpaw and the growth habit is more compact, rarely reaching much higher than 6-10 feet tall. It is hardy to frosts similar to the standard Pawpaw.
