General Information:
A small evergreen shrub from the Ericaceae family.
Cultivated in central and northern Europe, United States, Canada, and Chile.
Cranberries are rarely eaten raw due to their sharp and sour taste.
Typically consumed as juice, often sweetened and blended with other fruit juices.
Requires 3 months of chilly winter weather (1 to 7°C) for flower set and spring fruiting.
