Common Names: Coral Berry, Also known as Shoebutton Ardisia, Duck's Eye, and Coralberry.
Botanical Name: Ardisia Elliptica.
General Information: Native to Southeast Asia, the West Coast of India, Sri Lanka, Indochina, Malaysia, Indonesia, and New Guinea.
Fleshy berries are rounded and slightly sour taste with a hint of starch. Colour changes from green to red when immature, turning deep purplish or black at maturity. Contains a single round hard seed surrounded by whitish-coloured pulp.
