Known for its edible sweet fruit and latex, Sweet fruit is comparatively larger than other Lacmellas. The sweet sap and fruit are used to make chewing gum

The latex, though of low quality, is rarely used to adulterate rubber from Hevea brasiliensis

Fruit is consumed raw
