Blue Sausage Fruit Live Plant (Decaisnea Fargesii)

Blue Sausage Fruit is a shrub native to China, Nepal, northeast India (Sikkim), Bhutan, and Myanmar. It is a member of the chocolate vine family (Lardizabalaceae). The strange blue sausage fruits bears 3-5", slender fruits that look much like its name suggests. The gelatinous textured pulp is edible however the seeds are not. The flavor of D. fargesii fruit pulp has been described as sweet and similar to watermelon.
