General Information: Native to Central and South America, especially in Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, and Ecuador.
Small evergreen bushy shrub, typically 4-5 ft tall in the ground and 3-4 ft in a container. Can be trained into a miniature tree. Highly fragrant large white flowers. Subglobose fruits measure about 3cm x 2cm.
Deep purple to black pulp-filled interiors with a sweet and tangy taste, reminiscent of blackberry jam.
