Balsam Tree is an attractive, moderately large tree with a buttressed trunk, large, glossy dark green leaves and clusters of small flowers from the Burseraceae family. The edible fruits are gathered from the wild for its edible fruits. It has a plum-like, edible and delicious fruits with sweet and fragrant flesh that tastes like raspberry jam. It is native to central tropical Africa and they prefers a humid, tropical climate for the better growth.
