General Information:Â Native to Brazil, Peru, Argentina, Venezuela, Paraguay, and Bolivia.Tropical fruit tree with an erect trunk. Densely crowned with big green leaves, providing ample shade. Large trunk with rough-textured bark.
Small flowers. Fruits have sweet yellow-orange skin. Flavor described as a delightful blend of feijoa and citrus, sweet and refreshing.
Culinary and Medicinal Uses:
Copious amounts of yellow fruit with edible arils. Arils have a sweet and pleasantly acidic taste. Said to have good anti-cancer properties.
