Arka Kiran is a pink pulp variety with an average fruit weight of 200-220g with medium soft seeds (9 kg/cm2). Fruits have TSS of 11-120 Brix and lycopene content of 7.14 mg/100g. The crop will come to harvest after two years of planting. Economic yield starts after five years with an average fruit yield of 20 t/acre in a spacing of 4m x 3m.

Fresh guavas are rich in vitamins A, B, and C, and are commonly eaten raw and may be sliced and served with sugar and cream as a dessert.

Planting and Care

Trees should be planted in full sun with sufficient drainage. When the guava tree is young, fertilize it every one to two months and then every three to four years as it matures. To produce the most fruit, guava trees require a lot of nitrogen, phosphoric acid, potash, and a small amount of magnesium.
