Description: Arikury Palm, scientifically known as Syagrus Schizophylla, is an evergreen palm tree native to eastern Brazil, growing 1 - 4 meters tall. It typically forms a single, unbranched stem, occasionally forming a cluster of stems, with diameters of 10 - 15cm. The crown is adorned with 8 - 25 leaves, each reaching up to 2 meters in length. The edible fruits are gathered from the wild for local consumption. The fruit has a fibrous, succulent pulp with a pleasant, sweet flavor. The fruits are approximately 35mm long and 20mm wide.
